White Rock Lake | Dallas, Texas | Snape Severus

Many of you met my friend, Raine, last week in the DPPA Print Competition post, but I wanted to take a moment to share a few more images from his session. As you all know, I am primarily a wedding photographer; pretty girls, white dresses, beautiful locations and flowers everywhere. So when Raine mentioned he had an eerie concept he was looking to shoot I jumped on it! I love a good challenge!!Also a great excuse to pull out all my lighting gear and try some new tricks with light. I’m not gonna lie, I don’t watch much TV or many movies, so I had to do some research to get a feeling for our Snape Severus shoot (sorry Raine :/ ). I drove all over Dallas looking for THE perfect Gothic architecture location for this shoot, not really ever finding exactly what I was looking for, we chose White Rock Lake and I couldn’t be happier with our results! Dark. Eerie. Spooky. Awesome! How did I do?!

DPPA Print Competition | March 2012 Meeting

Here is my image from last nights DPPA Meeting Print Competition. A good friend of mine builds props and sets for movies and he wanted a few shots of his Severus Snape ensemble, I was happy to take on the challenge! The woods of White Rock Lake at dusk made the perfect mysterious location for practicing witchcraft and wizardry!

Things I like…Baking…well, when friends bake!

So, I’m not much of a baker…but I love when my friends decide they want to come over and bake.Thanks again Chieng!

Good friend and fellow wedding vendor, Chieng Moua, with M Event Group Company came over about a month ago and this is the fruition of his visit, amongst chatting business, of course! Yummy pastries!! I couldn’t help myself from a mini photo shoot AND eating them all.Though you can’t enjoy them nearly as much as I did, you can at least enjoy the images.
