Toyah & Duncan met on a yacht, where they both worked. They spent two years traveling all around the world before landing permanently in Dallas. So needless to say, travel is extremely important to them, and it was a blast finding ways to incorporate treasures found on their travels into their wedding photos!
This wedding was particularly unique since they wanted a small intimate wedding in the exact spot where Duncan proposed at White Rock Lake. Photography was important to them, something I LOVE to hear from my clients, and made my heart sing!! Though it was a frigid day, we all made our way over to the Dallas Arboretum for a mini couple session and lots of fun family portraits after the wedding.
Toyah & Duncan, thank you for welcoming me into your home and introducing me to your sweet, loving families, and for the pleasure of capturing this important moment in your lives! Congratulations, love birds! :)

It’s been awhile since I left you with a preview from Lacey and Ryans wedding, you’ve waited long enough so here are some of my favorites from their wedding! She chose Maple Manor for her ceremony location and Kountry Klub for a ‘Pure Country‘ reception party!

Been super busy around the studio lately…will update you on all the cool things going on shortly. Wanted to leave you with a little sneak peek from a wedding I shot last weekend. Western Kountry Klub was a unique venue because Pure Country with George Strait was filmed here. Congratulations Lacey & Ryan it was a beautiful wedding and it was an honor to be your wedding photographer and now friend! More images from their wedding and more coming soon!!

Such an intimate, sweet wedding at SMU’s Perkins Chapel. Congratulations again to Pam & Rick, it was such a pleasure working with you!!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of working with Jeff and Amanda of JChristopher Films. You saw some highlights from their wedding here, now feel free to experience more with JChristopher Films video!
Abby+Kevin Wedding from JChristopher Films on Vimeo.
I’ve mentioned them before and I’m sure this wont be the last…but I just adore the Edmonsons! David and Luke Edmonson have been my mentors for about two years now and I am always honored when they ask me to shoot along side them. If you don’t know them or their work, you must take a look, their images are absolutely breath-taking! A few months ago now, David asked if I would assist him on a wedding in Shreveport, Louisiana at the East Ridge Country Club, I was thrilled and immediately said yes!!
I’ve only done a handful of Indian Weddings, they are so lively and so much fun. Since I was the second photographer for Edmonson Weddings, I had the pleasure of capturing all the grooms special moments, before the ceremony of course. I personally, was thrilled to work with the groom, I LOVE the Barat…and if you have never experienced one…go look it up on YouTube, seriously fun!! Beautiful ceremony and reception! Here are some highlights…I especially love the groom ironing his brother’s jacket…while wearing it!! Silly boys!

You met Abby and Kevin in their unique and unconventional engagement session, tacky Christmas sweaters turned paint war. Here they are again in a truly unique and unconventional wedding day experience at the Hickory Street Annex wedding venue in Dallas, Texas. Abby chose a beautiful green and white color combination, complimenting her gorgeous red hair perfectly, though she’s so absolutely stunning she would have looked great no matter what!
There were so many wonderful moments during their ceremony that I just had to pull more than usual!

Here is a beautiful, intimate wedding I did earlier this year that has yet to make its appearance on my blog. If you remember…back in May, Thomas Garza and I went on a weekend trip to Cabo San Lucas for a destination wedding, here I posted Day 1 and then shortly there after Day 2. Well finally here is the breathtaking Minh Lethi with her handsome beau Cleveland Antoine Jr. on their special day at the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The colors Minh picked turned out absolutely stunning, I love that she paired the blue of the sky and sea with orange bridesmaid dresses and bouquets. She couldn’t have picked more beautiful details for herself and the girls. It wouldn’t be fair to move on without mentioning how studly all the men looked in their fine linen cream suits with a hint of color peeping out from their jackets! Love it!!
The blending of the two families is always beautiful to witness, I especially love when couples incorporate various traditional customs. Minh and Cleveland, for example, practiced a custom called ‘Jumping the Broom’ in which a couple at the closing of their ceremony jump over a broom together. While the origin is still widely debated this custom has various meanings within various cultures, you can read more about it for yourself here. (I personally LOVE learning about various cultures and customs and find these things to be fascinating). All this to say, it was a wonderful wedding full of wonderful people and truly an honor to photograph your wedding day Minh and Cleveland!! Congratulations again!
