This wedding was particularly unique since they wanted a small intimate wedding in the exact spot where Duncan proposed at White Rock Lake.  Photography was important to them, something I LOVE to hear from my clients, and made my heart sing!! Though it was a frigid day, we all made our way over to the Dallas Arboretum for a mini couple session and lots of fun family portraits after the wedding.

Toyah &  Duncan, thank you for welcoming me into your home and introducing me to your sweet, loving families, and for the pleasure of capturing this important moment in your lives! Congratulations, love birds! :)

My friends know I absolutely love gardening, in fact my very first Things I like…post was about gardening! You can see it again here! So you ask, how can gardening get any better? Gardening for free! Thats right!! Gardens are meant to be shared, I LOVE sharing with friends and friends that share with me.

So here are a few of my newest plants from friends!

Remember that little Moonflower seed pod my friend Danielle gave me?! Well here are my Moonflower babies!! SOOOOOO excited about these little guys!

I’m so looking forward to this side of my home being completely covered in Moonflowers attracting honeybees to my garden! Thanks again Danielle!!

Now, I’ve never own cacti before, but I was up for the challenge…or so I thought… There is absolutely nothing to owning cacti, seriously easy, this little guy fell off of a cactus and was brought to me. I was told to just stick it in some dirt and leave it alone. It would be a lie to say that I was not at all skeptical, I just KNEW I was gonna kill it. To my surprise, shortly after I stuck it in some dirt, this bloom popped out! Can’t wait to see what color the bloom will be!

It was the same story with these Trailing Wandering Jew cuttings, super easy, just stick them in the dirt. (All the high winds in Dallas recently have worked in my favor!) I thought the window boxes on my front porch would be the perfect home for these beautiful clippings!

Now this plant was designed for sharing!! A few years ago mom gave me a couple of Airplane Plant clippings and goodness…I have SOOO many. If anyone wants their very own Airplant Plant, please let me know! I am happy to get you as many as you’d like!

Here is another very recent addition that I’m also super excited about! Indian Hyacinth Bean!! These little beans were given to me by a sweet Indian couple, I am so excited to watch these bean sprouts flourish. I was informed that every part of this plant was edible and that the purple flowers smell like Jasmine! So of course I have to find some garden seating to go right next to this trellis now!

Thank you to the previous owner of this home that left the mint! This stuff grows like wild and is so yummy when cooking!!

This plant is special to me because it was given to me from a fellow photographer’s wife here locally. Charlie Roch that’s you!! Thank you Michelle, I love my aloe baby, it’s so cute!

This last one is one of my favorites! These clippings were given to me by my mom and how cool is this plant! It’s a Dragon-Winged Begonia with silky leafs. This guy keeps me company while I edit all of your beautiful images!!
